Before you head to the airport
- There is one terminal for every flight. Check-in is on the ground floor: Zone A for Jet2, Zone D for Emirates, Zones B and C for everyone else.
- Security is on the first floor, with entrances near Zone A and Zone B. See security and the 2 litre liquids rule.
- Gates 1 to 20 are in the south part of the departure lounge and can be a 5 to 7 minute walk, so leave when your gate shows. See the terminal guide.

How early should I get to Birmingham Airport?
Airlines set check-in and bag drop times, and the airport asks you to arrive when your check-in opens, as shown in your booking. Hand luggage only with an online boarding pass? Arrive at the time your airline advises and go straight to security.
Why does the board show no flights?
If the live feed is down or not connected, the board shows a notice instead of flights. Use your airline app or the screens in the terminal until it returns.
