All check-in is on the ground floor of the single terminal, split into four zones.

Checked 13 October 2026 against the sources listed below

Check-in zones

From the airport's check-in information; each airline's zone is in the airline directory and on our airlines page.

When to arrive

Your airline sets check-in and bag drop times, shown on your booking. The airport asks you to arrive when your check-in opens. With hand luggage only and an online boarding pass, arrive at the time your airline advises and go straight to security on the first floor. Ryanair only accepts digital boarding passes.

Drop your bags the day before

easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair and TUI have offered a day before bag drop at Birmingham, and Jet2 runs Twilight Check-In. Check eligibility with your airline. Drivers using these services get a reduced tariff in Premium Set Down.
